Current Projects
- I'm finishing up BudgetViz -- a script for journalists to generate data visualizations of budgets.
- I'm still doing a little bit of work on the Shakespeare Clinic. (see below)
- I'm working on a 'stealth mode' project related to competitive debate in Ruby on Rails.
- I'm also working on my thesis, which entails applying some corpus techniques to the gender-markedness of 'guy' and 'you guys' in English.
- You can hire me to do your web design/coding projects!
Past Projects
- I founded and designed Claremont Currents, a Claremont Colleges news aggregation portal, using WordPress Mu, various freely-available themes and plugins and a lot of original coding in PHP and mySQL.
- Designed and implemented drop-in website solution for ACLU of the Claremont Colleges.
- I'm currently participating informally in the CMC Shakespeare Authorship Clinic, where other students, myself and Prof. Ward Elliott are using a variety of new-optics stylometric tests to try to ascertain the authorship of the Shakespeare Apocrypha (a collection of 1590s plays for which Shakespeare has been hypothesized as an author or co-author). In the past, I used a Support Vector Machine program to do some classification tests based on marker tests for various candidate authors, like Greene, Marlowe and others.
